27. July 1949 | Felten & Guilleaume (F&G) acquires the former Weserflug site in Nordenham in the Friedrich-August-Hütte district. The relocation of a factory for electrical engineering systems from Cologne begins. |
1950 | The first electric carts and electric motors are produced. |
1951 | The plant in Nordenham is growing. There are now 800 employees working at the site. Cable fittings are now mainly manufactured. |
1956 | The production of releases for residual current circuit breakers begins in Nordenham. |
1957 | The production of conductor wires, which has previously taken place in Cologne, will be relocated to the Nordenham site. |
1960 | The production of residual current circuit breakers is being expanded. In return, the production of electric carts is being relocated back to Cologne. |

1968 | F&G Schaltanlagen GmbH is founded. The plant in Nordenham specializes in the production of low-voltage, medium-voltage and high-voltage systems. |
1969 | There are now over 1,300 employees working at the Nordenham site. A company kindergarten is being set up. |

1976 | The switchgear will now be produced in Krefeld. The plant in Nordenham will concentrate on the production of low-voltage switchgear. |
1977 | Motor production is relocated from Braunschweig to Nordenham. |
1978 and 1979 | Circuit breakers go into series production and new halls are built for the production of residual current and circuit breakers. |
1981 | The Felten Group is restructuring. The production of telecommunications equipment in Nordenham is being discontinued. 152 employees have to leave the factory. |
1984 | The Nordenham plant is participating in a program of the Federal Ministry of Research to humanize the world of work. |
1985 | The business areas of power cable accessories, low-voltage switchgear and electrical machines become independent. |
1989 | The electrical machines business area is separated from the stock corporation and renamed F&G Antriebstechnik GmbH. |
1990 | Production of circuit breakers will be discontinued in Nordenham. |
1991 | An ambitious modernization program is implemented at the Nordenham plant. Between 1991 and 1998, Felten invests around 90 million German marks in the plant. However, the elimination of 150 jobs is also announced. |
1992 | Construction of a fully automated production line for the production of circuit breaker releases begins. |
1994 | Savings must be made in order to maintain competitiveness. |
1995 | A huge drop in prices means that a further 100 jobs in circuit breaker manufacturing have to be cut. |
1996 | A further 130 jobs will have to be cut in circuit breaker production. The development department for circuit breaker production will be closed. |
1998 | The three business areas in Nordenham become independent GmbHs. The Bonn-based Moeller Group takes over the majority of F&G’s share capital. |
1999 | F&G is separating from cable production in Cologne and Nordenham. These sites are being sold to the Danish NKT Group. There are currently 600 employees working at the Nordenham site. |
2002 | Takeover of the Moeller Group by the Austrian ATB Group. Moeller Antriebstechnik GmbH becomes ATB Motorentechnik GmbH. |
2011 | The Chinese company takes over the ATB Group. ATB Nordenham thus becomes part of the large Wolong family. |
2013 | ATB Nordenham is expanding its buildings with a new assembly hall, a new paint shop and a new shipping center |
2018 | ATB Nordenham implements SAP as a new ERP system. |
2020 | Due to the worldwide Corona pandemic, ATB Nordenham is implementing short-time working. |
